LG Shows Off 3D G-Slate

Amid speculations that the LG G-Slate would offer stereoscopic 3D capability, a Korean music video seems to have confirmed that this will indeed be the case as reported.

If you carefully watch the music video, you can see briefly that there are dual cameras at the back of the G-Slate, which is required to shoot real 3D video. It had been hinted earlier that there would be glasses-free 3D display such as that on the Nintendo 3DS, and this video shows that that would actually be true.

A recent FCC filing showed a couple of holes on the back of the G-Slate at the spots where the cameras can now be seen in the video, furthering the claims. You can also see a front camera, an HDMI port and a microUSB port in the video, in addition to a stand. As you may already know, the LG G-Slate will be powered by NVIDIA's Tegra 2 and will run on Android 3.0 with an 8.9-inch capacitive touch screen with a resolution of 1280x720. Availability of the LG G-Slate is not confirmed, but it may be available in the US by March for around US$400 with a carrier subsidy from T-Mobile.
